La transformación socialista de la universidad cubana en Carlos Rafael Rodríguez y Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado

Resumen

Las profundas transformaciones educacionales acometidas por la Revolución Cubana, esbozadas por Fidel desde La Historia me Absolverá, también abarcaron la enseñanza superior. La reforma universitaria iniciada en Cuba a partir de 1962, tuvo entre sus objetivos primigenios y uno de los fundamentales: dotar al país de los profesionales y técnicos revolucionarios que contribuirían con su labor a la difícil tarea de rebasar el estado de subdesarrollo y construir la nueva sociedad socialista. Para ello, se necesitaba transitar hacia la universidad socialista, y basar la formación del profesional universitario en el humanismo socialista. Ese proceso tuvo en Carlos Rafael Rodríguez y Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado a dos de sus más fervientes partidarios. En el centenario de la reforma universitaria de Córdova, nos proponemos mostrar la visión marxista de estos dos revolucionarios cienfuegueros acerca de estas problemáticas, a través del análisis de las ideas y conceptos que aparecen en sus discursos.

ABSTRACT

The profound educational transformations undertaken by the Cuban Revolution, outlined by Fidel from La Historia me absolverá, also included higher education. The university reform initiated in Cuba since 1962, had among its prime objectives and one of the fundamental: to provide the country with revolutionary professionals and technicians who would contribute with their work to the difficult task of overcoming the state of underdevelopment and build the new socialist society. For this, it was necessary to move towards the socialist university, and to base the formation of the university professional in the socialist humanism. That process had in Carlos Rafael Rodríguez and Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado, two of its most fervent supporters. In the centenary of the university reform of Cordova, we propose to show the Marxist vision of these two Cienfuegos revolutionaries about this problem through the analysis of their ideas contained in some of their speeches and written texts.
