Evaluación agroproductiva de los suelos de la unidad empresarial de base (UEB) “Elpidio Gómez” de Palmira.

Resumen

Con el objetivo de evaluar el potencial agroproductivo de los suelos en caña planta y retoño para la selección de áreas para riego, se realizó una investigación de tipo explicativa. Se caracterizaron los suelos a partir de los factores limitantes y se evaluó su aptitud. Se elaboraron mapas monotemáticos. Para la evaluación de la aptitud se empleó  el  sistema automatizado AGRO24. El estudio arrojó que el 82,3 % de la superficie total está afectada por drenaje, el 46,9 % por la profundidad  efectiva y el 2,4 % por la compactación. En la Unidad el 76,9 % de las tierras están en condiciones para ser beneficiadas con el riego al obtener las categorías de aptas y mediana- mente aptas para el ciclo caña planta, mientras que para el ciclo de retoño en estas categorías se encuentra el 53 %..

ABSTRACT For the sake of evaluating potential agroproductivo of the grounds for cane plants and sprout to selection of the areas for irrigation was realize an not experimental investigations. A characterization of the grounds from the considered limiting factors becomes and the aptitude of the lands. As main results are obtained than from 24 179.7 there is of the total surface the 82.3 % they are affected by drainage principally by the relief, the 46.9 % has an inferior depth to 40 cm and the 2.4 % is affected by compression. These evaluations are presented in thematic maps. In the Unit 76.9 % of lands are in conditions to be benefitted with the irrigation when categories get from apt and fairly apt for the cycle the cane plants, while for the cycle of sprout in these categories the 53 % finds itself.
